My Disability
My name is Susan. I am 16 years old. I am a sophomore at New Trier High School. I have Waardenberg syndrome. It is something that makes people have a little bit of white hair in the back, eye color changes, hearing loss, and some bad eye sight problems. I found out about my Waardenberg syndrome 2 years ago during speech. I read about it in a paper. Waardenberg syndrome affects my ears and eyes. I have Waardenberg syndrome because I was born that way. I feel like it makes me upset because I don’t like being disabled and being disabled bothers me.
