My Disability
My name is Jackie. I have autism. Autism is a neurological disorder that happens in the brain. Autism makes me self-talk, jump around, and not communicate with people. My parents found out I had autism when I was 2 years old. I didn’t look at people. I have autism because I was just born with it. We don’t know what causes autism. I feel okay about having autism. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have autism.
